Software Developer in Test (SDET)

Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time remote Software Developer in Test (SDET) will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring high-quality deliverables through strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and IT systems
• Lead testing efforts, document results, and communicate findings to stakeholders while resolving complex issues
• Utilize test automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
