Software Developer (.NET Core)

Job Summary

To support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of Academic Affiliations, the full-time remote Software Developer (.NET Core) will develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET Core MVC, and SQL, while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and secure coding practices under the guidance of senior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify application code, maintaining existing user interfaces and supporting enhancements
• Perform hands-on coding, unit testing, debugging, and technical documentation
• Write and maintain SQL queries and support defect resolution and sustainment of existing systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Four (4) or more years of experience in software development with .NET Core MVC and C#
• Knowledge of SQL database design and programming
• Demonstrated ability to work productively under the technical direction of senior developers
• U.S. Citizenship required, with continuous residency in the U.S. for the past 36 months
