Software Developer - Ruby on Rails

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Software Developer - Ruby on Rails, the candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom solutions to support the laboratory's mission of advancing affordable and secure energy, while also engaging in team building and mentorship in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop commercial quality web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement services-oriented architecture
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team building efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
• 5+ years of experience in developing web applications with HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, and related technologies
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle
• 3+ years of front-end experience with CSS/SASS
• Expert-level knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and Jira, along with familiarity with Agile frameworks
