Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Software Development Engineer will focus on engineering support, operational requests, and production issue resolution, collaborating with various teams to maintain system stability and resolve critical business operations issues.

Key responsibilities

• Execute database updates, data fixes, scripts, and configuration changes across multiple environments
• Investigate application behavior and system issues raised by internal teams
• Support production troubleshooting, log analysis, and deployment activities while maintaining documentation for operational changes

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of software development experience
• Strong experience in PHP, with working knowledge of Java
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with APIs, backend services, and system integrations
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
