Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

Excited to build the infrastructure behind enterprise AI, the full-time remote Software Development Engineer in AI Tools will develop and maintain MCP servers, AI integrations, and developer tools that enhance the workflow for Workday's engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain MCP servers, AI integrations, and developer tools for improved engineering workflows
• Write scripts and automation to streamline onboarding, configuration, and management of AI tools
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement policy requirements in tooling

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Production experience in building backend services or developer tooling using Python and/or TypeScript
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and basic prompt engineering concepts
• Understanding of AI security and responsible AI principles
• Genuine enthusiasm for the latest AI tools, models, and frameworks
