Software Development Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of RabbitMQ, the full-time Software Development Engineer will design, develop, test, and deploy distributed open-source message broker systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale solutions for distributed open-source message broker systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers and open source project maintainers to influence strategy and define the team's roadmap
- Drive system architecture and best practices while mentoring junior engineers
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
