Job Summary
Designing and operating backend services for the Developer Platform, the full-time Software Development Engineer will work remotely, focusing on building microservices and developer-facing UI features using Java, Kotlin, and AWS within a cloud-native environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver backend microservices and developer-facing UI features, ensuring end-to-end ownership from design to production rollout
- Build and maintain public and internal APIs, applying best practices for versioning, backward compatibility, and security
- Operate and monitor services in a cloud-native environment, participating in on-call duties to maintain system health
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend microservice architectures and distributed systems
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with production experience in Spring Boot
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Hands-on experience operating production services, including observability and SLO-based alerting
