Software Development Engineer I

Job Summary

To support scientific computing and AI-driven applications, the remote contract Software Development Engineer I will design, develop, and maintain software solutions while collaborating with product teams and contributing to open-source projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for scientific and data science applications
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance developer workflows and customer experiences
• Contribute to AI/LLM-enabled solutions and maintain GitHub repositories for community engagement

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in software development or engineering
• Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including large language models and API integration
• Experience applying software engineering practices in scientific or data science contexts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
