Software Development Engineer III

Job Summary

Software Development Engineer III is a full-time position responsible for developing and maintaining scalable mapping tools and services while ensuring reliability and performance as user demand grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts to define and execute tasks with accountability for timely delivery
• Design systems and make architectural decisions to support rapid customer growth
• Mentor peers and promote operational excellence through testing, monitoring, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in building scalable high-volume low-latency backend services
• Proficiency in Python, Typescript, and AWS technologies (CDK, ECS, Lambda, etc.)
• Familiarity with raster and vector geospatial data
• A self-starter with a strong analytical approach to development tasks
• Commitment to high-quality code practices, including writing unit tests and addressing defects
