Software Development Engineer III

Job Summary

As a senior-level role, the full-time remote Software Development Engineer III will collaborate with Designers, Project Managers, and Engineers to build secure and stable backend systems, focusing on architectural decisions and mentoring team members in best practices for web services and financial software.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend systems that ensure stability and security
• Review team members' work and provide constructive feedback while mentoring others on industry best practices
• Participate in architectural decision-making for both existing projects and new system implementations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time programming experience in a team environment
• Proficiency with server-side web technologies such as Unix/Linux, Golang, PHP, MySQL, and MongoDB
• Experience in networking and network security, including protection against common security risks
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar hosting providers
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
