Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Summary

Working remotely as a contract Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), the candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using TypeScript and Playwright, while collaborating with the IT Quality Assurance team in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to translate feature requirements into functional automated test scripts
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated testing
• Advocate for quality throughout the test development lifecycle, promoting best practices in code quality and maintainability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline AND 4 years of experience with Playwright-based automation in object-oriented programming languages, or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar platforms for managing source code and test pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and basic Scrum principles
• Basic experience in TypeScript programming for test automation using the Playwright framework
• Experience with Visual Studio Code and knowledge of testing processes and best practices
