Software Development Engineer in Test
Job Summary
To support quality assurance efforts, the full-time Software Development Engineer in Test will create and execute automated and manual test cases for SaaS-based web applications, collaborate with development teams, and enhance the automation framework while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand product requirements and develop test plans
- Create and execute automated and manual test cases, including API tests, and identify and report bugs
- Own the test automation strategy and mentor junior automation engineers to improve team capabilities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on testing and test automation of SaaS applications
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with modern JavaScript-based end-to-end automation tools like Cypress or Playwright
- Familiarity with API testing tools and agile development methodologies
