Software Development Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Software Development Manager will remain hands-on in coding while overseeing the development of shared services and integration patterns for next-generation clinical trial technologies in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement high-volume backend services and REST APIs, ensuring they meet the needs of multiple agile squads
• Drive the adoption of AI coding tools within the team by demonstrating their value through personal example and fostering a culture of AI-augmented delivery
• Champion security and compliance practices within the software development lifecycle, ensuring that these concerns are integrated into the platform from the outset

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on technical leadership and mentoring
• Deep proficiency with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core, with a commitment to remaining technically active in this stack
• Strong experience designing and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs in production environments
• Experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines, as well as a working knowledge of API security practices
