Software Development Manager

Job Summary

Leading one or two engineering teams, the full-time Software Development Manager will provide direct leadership and management, focusing on team performance, delivery execution, and maintaining a strong team culture in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead engineering teams to optimize productivity and code quality in an AI-augmented development environment
• Own team delivery outcomes and implement improvements to workflows and processes
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, mentor team members, and drive recruiting efforts to ensure a skilled team

Required qualifications:

• Typically 8+ years of experience in software development or related technical roles
• At least 2+ years of people management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and managing teams using AI-assisted development tools
• Strong conflict management and relationship-building skills
