Software Development Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team in a remote environment, the full-time Software Development Manager will oversee the software development life cycle (SDLC), manage engineering execution against the product roadmap, and provide technical leadership for a next-generation tolling and intelligent transportation platform.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the SDLC process, including planning, estimation, development, code review, testing, release, and maintenance
- Set quarterly goals for direct reports and conduct performance reviews while providing coaching and mentoring for their career development
- Own engineering capacity planning and staffing in collaboration with product leadership, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree desired
- 5+ years of engineering management experience leading software development teams
- 10+ years of software development experience, including SDLC management
- Strong technical background in web application development and distributed/cloud systems
- Experience in tolling, intelligent transportation systems, or mission-critical transaction systems is a plus
