Software Development Quality Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the quality of an e-commerce platform, the full-time Software Development Quality Engineer will test backend API services and frontend web clients through automation and manual testing while working remotely within a collaborative engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automated test suites for APIs and backend services, as well as browser automation tests for frontend applications
• Collaborate with engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria before feature releases
• Propose and implement new testing practices and tooling to improve test coverage and reduce manual QA efforts

Required qualifications

• Experience writing automated tests for backend services and frontend web applications using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Proficiency in reading and writing code for Node/JS/TS applications
• Strong debugging and root-cause investigation skills
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Willingness to utilize AI tooling in testing processes
