Software Engineer 1
Job Summary
Building and shipping software across the stack, the full-time remote Software Engineer 1 will work with TypeScript/Node and React, focusing on bug fixes, small features, and collaborating with senior engineers to enhance their understanding of the system.
Key responsibilities
- Ship work across the stack, including bug fixes, small features, and tech debt, with support from senior engineers
- Utilize AI coding tools in the workflow and rigorously review their output
- Participate in all scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Product, QA, and UX teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Required qualifications
- Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience in either Node.js or React
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Comfort with git-based workflows, including branching and pull requests
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada and able to pass a comprehensive background check
