Software Engineer
Job Summary
Building and evolving platform capabilities, the full-time Software Engineer will create reusable components and services for U.S. Soccer's Soccer Services and Learning Center, working remotely to deliver user-friendly experiences and maintain production systems.
Key responsibilities
- Own production features end to end, from discovery and implementation through testing, release, monitoring, and iteration
- Create reusable platform building blocks, including user-interface components, service patterns, and workflow patterns for shared problems
- Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces and backend services, ensuring security, privacy, and data integrity throughout the software lifecycle
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience building and operating production web applications
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, and experience with at least one server-side language
- Experience designing and troubleshooting web APIs and working with relational databases
- Ability to diagnose issues across application code, integrations, and infrastructure while ensuring safe production fixes
