Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer to support cutting-edge space mission systems for the Space Force SDA GMI program.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support mission-critical software systems for advanced space and defense programs
• Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and distributed applications using Python and Java
• Collaborate across software engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps, infrastructure, and operations teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline plus 2+ years of software engineering experience, OR a Master's degree plus 6 months of relevant experience
• Experience working in Agile development environments is required
• Proficiency in Python and Java for software development
• AWS cloud experience, including EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, and IAM
• Understanding of DoD security standards and secure software development best practices
