Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a backend-first, full-stack Software Engineer for a full-time remote opportunity to build and maintain systems, APIs, and infrastructure that support the Panther One team's data and analytics environment for Pitt Athletics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud environments, data pipelines, and integrations
• Build and maintain internal tools for data interaction and analytical outputs
• Contribute to shared engineering standards and maintain consistency across projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on both infrastructure and application development
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS
• Strong full-stack engineering skills, particularly in backend systems, databases, and APIs
• Passion for sports and strong collaboration skills within a team environment
