Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a rapidly growing team, the full-time Software Engineer will design and build a control plane for provisioning and scaling Postgres clusters, ensuring high availability and data protection while working remotely or in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the control plane for provisioning, scaling, and healing Postgres clusters
• Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions for customer databases
• Develop tooling and automation for database operations, including backup and migration workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale systems in production
• Strong proficiency in Go, with experience in languages like Ruby, Python, Zig, or Rust
• Experience with distributed, fault-tolerant services and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
