Software Engineer

Job Summary

Passionate about iOS development, the full-time Software Engineer III will enhance the GitHub iOS app by designing, implementing, and supporting user-facing features while collaborating with a diverse team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Autonomously code solutions and document technical problems while collaborating with team members
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to peers
• Triage and debug issues, ensuring high-quality and supportable feature delivery

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline, with proficiency in languages such as Swift, C, C++, Java, or Python
• 2+ years of demonstrated proficiency in iOS app development, particularly with Swift and UIKit
• Deep understanding of mobile design patterns, reliability, and performance at scale
• Experience with on-call rotations and Apple App Store deployments, including issue triaging
• Equivalent experience or relevant degrees in Computer Science or related fields
