Software Engineer

Job Summary

To build and scale FiferINSPECT, the full-time Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the ecosystem for configurable mobile apps that automate field operations, deploying and managing containers on AWS and Azure while collaborating with federal agency users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the FiferINSPECT ecosystem
• Deploy and manage containers on AWS and Azure with a client application on Android smartphones and wearables
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Docker/Podman

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Proficient in front-end Android development using Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience with back-end development using Python and FastAPI for scalable applications
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design and query optimization
• Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor
