Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Command and Control Incident Management Emergency Response Application (C2IMERA) program, the full-time Software Engineer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission-critical software for the US Air Force, with the flexibility for remote work while preferring candidates who can occasionally be onsite in Morgantown, WV.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software using modern programming languages, primarily Java and C++
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle and collaborate using Agile tools like Jira and Bitbucket
• Develop maintainable code and automated tests while ensuring documentation and specifications are up to date

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree
• Active Secret clearance or higher, with the ability to maintain it during employment
• Hands-on experience with Java/C++ and object-oriented programming
• Experience with JavaScript and JS frameworks, such as React
• Strong desire to learn new programming languages, tools, and techniques
