Software Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced backend engineers will find a full-time remote Software Engineer opportunity focused on building and optimizing data-heavy platforms using JVM-based languages and event streaming technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement resilient data pipelines that maintain consistency across distributed systems
• Operate and optimize complex distributed workflows for high throughput and low latency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate ambiguity and contribute to impactful decisions

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems and data-heavy platforms
• Proficiency in JVM-based languages, preferably Java or Kotlin
• Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink
• Familiarity with multi-cloud or cloud-native infrastructure, particularly AWS or GCP
• Strong ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and conduct effective code reviews
