Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the orchestration of Neki, a full-time Software Engineer will design and build control planes for provisioning and scaling PostgreSQL clusters, ensuring high availability and data protection while working remotely or in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the control plane for provisioning, scaling, and healing Neki clusters with minimal downtime
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions for customer databases
• Create tooling and automation for database operations, including backup, restore, and migration workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale systems in production
• Strong proficiency in Go and familiarity with other languages such as Ruby or Python
• Experience with building and maintaining distributed, fault-tolerant services
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Experience operating distributed systems at scale
