Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining an Agile team remotely, the full-time Software Engineer will support NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information by planning and coordinating software development activities, maintaining enterprise archive systems, and managing change requests across various environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate Agile software development activities for enterprise archive systems
• Apply standards and tools throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality
• Manage the lifecycle of change requests and deploy changes across different environments

Required qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in a related field
• 2+ years of experience working with Linux
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, C++, Java, C#, or JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience with front-end development using frameworks like React or Angular
• Strong understanding of RESTful architecture and API design principles
