Software Engineer

Job Summary

Excited to tackle large-scale data platform challenges, the remote Software Engineer will enhance the Data Movement Platform, focusing on scalable, fault-tolerant systems and automated solutions for data processing at Reddit.

Key responsibilities:

• Refine and maintain data infrastructure technologies to support ML and analytics workflows
• Own and improve the Data Movement Platform for batch and stream data processing
• Build new infrastructure for Spark, Flink, and Airflow, contributing to the open-source community as needed

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production setting
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Scala, Go, or Java
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale systems with proactive leadership skills
• Familiarity with cloud services, Airflow, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Spark, and Flink
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a service-oriented team
