Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Command and Control Incident Management Emergency Response Application (C2IMERA) program, a full-time Software Engineer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission-critical software, primarily using Java, while collaborating with a dynamic team in a remote work environment with occasional onsite preference in Morgantown, WV.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions while participating in the full software development lifecycle
• Utilize Agile development tools to manage tasks and collaborate with team members effectively
• Develop maintainable code and automated tests, ensuring alignment with customer needs and specifications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree
• US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance or higher, with the ability to maintain clearance
• Hands-on experience with Java/C++ and object-oriented programming
• Experience with JavaScript and JS frameworks such as React
• Strong motivation to learn new programming languages, tools, and frameworks independently
