Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an AI-forward Software Engineer to join a fully remote team, who will write and ship impactful code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion AI development practices to enhance educational communication tools.

Key responsibilities:

• Write and ship clear, simple code that enhances educators' experiences and improves student outcomes
• Collaborate with product owners and senior engineers to build features efficiently and effectively
• Utilize AI development practices to increase sprint velocity and code quality across the team

Required qualifications:

• Professional experience with Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or PHP
• Solid experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and a strong understanding of relational databases
• Experience with distributed systems and evolving monolithic architectures
• Familiarity with AWS services, including Aurora, RDS, and SQS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
