Software Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and architecting unified testing frameworks, the full-time remote Software Engineer for the XIL Platform will build and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) infrastructure while integrating automated testing into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect unified testing frameworks for seamless portability of test cases across SIL, HIL, and simulation environments
• Build, configure, and maintain physical HIL benches and associated hardware interfaces to simulate real-world vehicle environments
• Integrate automated HIL testing into CI pipelines, ensuring code stability and preventing regressions prior to merging

Required qualifications

• Deep understanding of HIL, SIL, and simulation testing strategies, particularly for safety-critical systems
• Proficiency in scripting and test automation languages such as Python, C++, and Bash
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices, with direct experience using Buildkite being a plus
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot physical test benches and use lab tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and environment management tools, specifically Nix or similar tools like Docker/Ansible
