Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development and integration of open architecture solutions for complex defense and aerospace systems, the remote Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that integrate open architecture and interoperability standards
• Analyze and implement industry and government standards, including SOSA Technical Standard and FACE, for software integration efforts
• Perform structural and semantic gap analysis between multiple standards to enable interoperability across systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in defense, aerospace, or complex engineering environments
• Direct experience with standards such as SOSA Technical Standard, FACE, or UCI
• Knowledge of Government Reference Architectures and serialization/interface standards like OMG IDL and Protocol Buffers
• Ability to perform gap analysis and integration across multiple standards or reference architectures
