Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Robotics Automation Group, the full-time Software Engineer will develop embedded software for robotic systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features, and ensure high-quality software through best practices in development and testing.
Key responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for controlling robot motion and interfacing with vacuum chamber subsystems
- Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to define new product features and participate in design reviews
- Support manufacturing and field service engineers in troubleshooting field issues, both remotely and on-site
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in programming C++11 or later
- Experience with embedded real-time systems in multi-threaded environments such as QNX or Real-Time Linux
- Knowledge of BSP and low-level hardware interface development, including FPGA integration
- Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools, ideally in an Agile environment
- Experience with robotics, kinematics/dynamics, or motion planning is a plus
