Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer, the full-time remote position will design and develop scalable software solutions, build data pipelines, and perform geospatial analysis to support mission-critical programs in national security.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions for the Whitespace Answers Platform and Iris AI ecosystem
- Collect, integrate, clean, and analyze large-scale geospatial and non-geospatial datasets to develop actionable intelligence
- Collaborate with Agile teams to create technical solutions for complex geospatial and data-centric challenges
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a software engineering role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java, with a focus on quality and testability
- Strong understanding of DevOps processes and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, JIRA)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization
- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain production software and scalable data processing pipelines
