Job Summary
To enhance the developer experience, the remote eligible Software Engineer in Secure Development Engineering will design, build, and operate a platform that runs code checks for Airbnb engineers, ensuring reliability and efficiency across multiple repositories and languages.
Key responsibilities
- Design and operate backend services for code checks within continuous integration, focusing on reliability and latency
- Scale the platform to accommodate new repositories and languages while simplifying integration for engineering teams
- Build data pipelines and dashboards to report on code check results, coverage, and time to fix
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with production code in languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Experience building and operating backend services or platforms used by other engineers
- Familiarity with developer infrastructure, including continuous integration and build systems
- Proficient in SQL and data pipeline development for dashboard reporting
- Strong practices in testing and debugging, with a focus on measurement before optimization
