Software Engineer

Job Summary

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the remote Software Engineer will focus on building and enhancing systems to detect and mitigate fraudulent listings, utilizing machine learning and data-driven approaches to protect user experiences.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop large-scale backend systems to identify and prevent fraud through rules and machine learning models
• Work with product managers, data scientists, and operations to refine requirements and identify opportunities for business impact in fraud detection
• Build tooling and automation to enhance operational efficiency in fraud reduction efforts

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in building scalable systems, with an MS or PhD in relevant fields
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Scala
• Experience writing high-performance production-quality code
• Familiarity with architectural patterns of high-scale web applications and efficient algorithms
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
