Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development and maintenance of software solutions, the full-time remote Software Engineer will focus on backend systems using RPG, SQLRPGLE, and CLP, while collaborating with team members and learning modern technologies and AI coding tools.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems on IBM i and integrate applications with relational databases
- Deliver reliable, tested code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while tracking defects and resolutions
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and participate in team activities, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Required qualifications:
- 0-5 years of industry experience in software engineering
- Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training experience
- Foundational knowledge of RPG, SQLRPGLE, and/or CLP for IBM i
- Demonstrated interest in learning and applying agentic AI coding tools
- A growth mindset with eagerness to deepen skills and learn modern integration patterns
