Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Software Engineer on the Justice Engineering team, the successful candidate will design, build, and operate services that automate Block's responses to legal and regulatory requests, ensuring compliance while handling sensitive customer data.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the team to develop, test, and maintain features for automating legal request responses
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and engage in design and code reviews
- Implement systems within microservice architectures, ensuring legal compliance and data sensitivity
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of software development or equivalent experience
- Experience in building and maintaining production software systems end-to-end
- Familiarity with both backend services and user interfaces
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated AI fluency and experience using AI-powered tools in development
