Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance and build new systems, the full-time Software Engineer will design, develop, and modify software while collaborating with a team of developers, QA, and Product Managers in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, or modify software and systems with consideration for service architecture
- Analyze user needs to determine software requirements and modifications
- Lead design and code reviews, participating in discussions about the team's future vision and strategy
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer for non-trivial web applications
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails; experience with Hotwire Turbo/Stimulus and Tailwind is a plus
- Strong understanding of business goals and the ability to incorporate them into technical decisions
- Experience with data model design for relational databases
- Strong communication skills to describe complex problems and solutions
