Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Software Engineer on the Justice Engineering team, the successful candidate will design, build, and operate systems that automate Block's responses to legal and regulatory requests, ensuring compliance while managing sensitive customer data.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, ship, and maintain features that automate legal request responses
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in design and code reviews
- Implement systems within microservice and event-driven architectures while ensuring data sensitivity and legal compliance
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of software development or equivalent experience
- Experience building and maintaining production software systems with end-to-end project delivery
- Proficiency in backend services and user interfaces
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated AI fluency, including experience with AI-powered developer tools
