Job Summary
To support innovative AI projects, the remote contract Software Engineer - AI Evaluation & Automation will develop tools for measuring the performance of AI-powered software solutions, focusing on automation and evaluation processes.
Key responsibilities
- Build and scale tooling to measure AI software performance
- Develop evaluation harnesses and automate benchmark runs to ensure reproducibility
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to enhance tooling and document evaluation processes
Required qualifications
- Strong software engineering background with experience in automation or developer tooling
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Solid knowledge of Git and containerization with Docker
- Experience with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering workflows
- Familiarity with AI evaluation processes and common pitfalls
