Software Engineer, Android Development

Job Summary

As a full-time Software Engineer specializing in Android Development, the candidate will design, build, and deploy software that integrates data synchronization capabilities into tactical applications, focusing on mobile and integration work in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and extend ATAK plugins for seamless data synchronization in tactical environments
• Architect and develop Android-native applications ensuring reliable operation in disconnected and low-bandwidth scenarios
• Design integration architectures that define data contracts and synchronization patterns for interoperability with third-party systems

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on building and maintaining production applications
• 2+ years of experience in Android application development, with proficiency in the Android SDK, Kotlin, and/or Java
• Prior experience with ATAK plugin development and familiarity with the TAK ecosystem
• Strong integration design skills, including defining API contracts and architecting loosely coupled systems
