Software Engineer (Crop)

Job Summary

To support a growing crop insurance claims platform, the full-time remote Software Engineer (Crop) will design, develop, and maintain features used by claims adjusters and underwriters, translating complex regulatory requirements into reliable code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features for the claims processing platform using Node.js, TypeScript, and Vue.js
• Translate regulatory requirements into accurate technical specifications and application logic
• Investigate and resolve errors related to PASS and NCIS, implementing tested fixes in collaboration with operations staff

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, proficient in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and writing unit and integration tests
• 3+ years of crop insurance domain knowledge, including hands-on experience with RMA or NCIS data submission systems
• Ability to read and apply FCIC/RMA regulatory materials independently
• Demonstrated experience resolving PASS errors and NCIS discrepancies in a production environment
