Software Engineer - Data

Job Summary

To support the scaling of a blockchain data platform, the full-time Software Engineer - Data will design and develop distributed systems, engage in technical challenges related to large databases and SQL processing, and write code primarily in Kotlin and Go in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed systems while participating in high-impact architectural decisions
• Assume ownership of components within the blockchain data platform, including data ingestion and decoding
• Contribute to improving the internal developer experience through enhancements to testing setups and deployment processes

Required qualifications

• Strong generalist with fundamental computer science knowledge and adaptability to new technologies
• Understanding of distributed system design and blockchain technology
• Experience with data lakes and formats such as Parquet, Delta, and Iceberg
• Coding experience in any JVM language with a focus on well-designed, testable software
• Great collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork
