Software Engineer, Desktop Client

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer, Desktop Client.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts across Electron for OS level stability, security, and code maintainability
• Drive cross-functional desktop initiatives to enhance developer productivity, performance, or security
• Maintain and improve core systems for the Slack desktop client and Electron framework

Required Qualifications

• Deep experience with Google's Chromium project
• Proficiency in Node.js and the V8 JavaScript engine
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools for web-based desktop applications
• Familiarity with desktop development and technical trade-offs in web-based applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
