Software Engineer EHR Integration Lead

Job Summary

Leading integration initiatives, the full-time remote Software Engineer EHR Integration Lead will manage complex integrations between Epic and third-party systems, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of FHIR and HL7 v2 APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end integration projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Manage the development, configuration, and support of Epic interfaces using Epic Bridges or related tools
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices for communication between internal and external systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in integration roles, with significant exposure to HL7 and FHIR API/Services
• Experience working as an Epic Interface Analyst with at least one interface engine like Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, or MuleSoft
• Proficiency in API development using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
• Familiarity with healthcare-specific integration standards, including HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA requirements
