Software Engineer, Flights Focus

Job Summary

Focused on scaling the flight routing and booking engine, the full-time Software Engineer, Flights Focus will drive core feature delivery, build logic for award ticket inventory pricing, and integrate with external airlines and GDS partners in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Driving ownership of major feature releases across the entire flight booking funnel, from search to post-booking fulfillment
• Building logic for award ticket inventory pricing and point transferring to partners
• Integrating with external airlines and GDS partners, navigating complex communication protocols and data schemas

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience, primarily in production-grade Python
• Experience with GDS systems, such as Amadeus or Sabre
• Technical expertise in Python/Django, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Passion for credit card points/travel hacking and familiarity with airline rewards search engines
• Experience considering or building flight inventory scrapers and engagement with platforms like FlyerTalk
