Job Summary

Focused on scaling flight routing and booking systems, the full-time Software Engineer, Flights Focused will drive core feature delivery, integrate with external partners, and build logic for award ticket pricing in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Driving ownership of major feature releases across the flight booking funnel, from search to post-booking fulfillment
• Building logic for award ticket inventory pricing and point transferring to partners
• Integrating with external airlines and GDS partners while navigating complex communication protocols and data schemas

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on production-grade Python
• Experience with GDS systems, such as Amadeus or Sabre
• Technical expertise in Python/Django, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Interest in credit card points and travel hacking, with practical experience in booking flights using points
• Familiarity with building flight inventory scrapers and engagement with travel-focused communities like FlyerTalk
