Job Summary
To support a growing team, the remote contract Software Engineer - Florida will build and ship features for a React Native mobile app, design Node/NestJS APIs, and optimize SQL databases while collaborating closely with a small, agile team.
Key responsibilities
- Build and ship features in the React Native mobile app from concept through release
- Design, build, and maintain Node/NestJS APIs for mobile and web experiences
- Write and optimize SQL queries and help shape the database schema
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills across client and server
- Hands-on experience with React Native, including app store builds and releases
- Experience building backend services in Node, preferably with NestJS or Express
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL
