Software Engineer for AI Applications

Job Summary

Working remotely or at the headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC, the full-time Software Engineer for AI Applications will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions while collaborating with internal teams and clients to translate business and research needs into scalable, secure systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled systems and multi-step workflows focused on production readiness and maintainability
• Contribute to AI systems that integrate with existing platforms such as survey data collection and data quality assurance tools
• Develop and deploy cloud-native services using APIs and modern CI/CD practices to ensure scalable and secure AI solutions

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree with three years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience in building cloud-native applications
• At least two years of programming experience in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying AI or LLM-based systems, including workflow automation
• Experience integrating AI models into software applications through APIs or model-serving infrastructure
• Understanding of data access, privacy, and compliance requirements in system design
